There are tons of great restaurants in Austin. It really is a hard to find a bad one. A few that we really like are Chuy's which is known for great Mexican Food and atmosphere. The Salt Lick has great BBQ. A great Lunch Special can be found in South Austin at La Feria. If you want a great burger go to Huts and ask about their 2 for 1 specials. Finally, for some great home cooking and a live band check out Threadgill's.
Popular Spots in Austin
Now, there are a bunch of popular spots around Austin to relax and enjoy the city. Barton Springs is a great place to swim and is close to downtown. The Greenbelt is runs right along the Springs and is great for biking, running, and walking. Another place to swim is located South West of Austin at Hamilton Pool. We all know about Sixth Street but for live music be sure to check out Antones.
We love live music and one of our favorites is Bob Schnieder. Also, for something very unique check out The Gourds or maybe the Los Lonely boys. If you are a movie buff, make sure to check out any new movies by Austin's own Richard Linklater.
